The city of Toronto has seen a spike intoronto cannabis dispensaries in recent years. Since the legalization of marijuana, over 200 shops have opened across the city. A recent survey showed that a quarter of these stores were located in downtown Toronto. One Toronto dispensary even resisted the ban on retail marijuana sales due to its location in Kensington Market, a bohemian area. And Queen Street West, Toronto's main shopping district, is dotted with at least 10 pot stores. Signs promised two more cannabis shops on the street.
